(7) Hiding the Text

• a simple way to hide and reveal parts of the text area
• if you have the text on one of the masked layers, not on the mask layer you will have you will be able to decide what part of that text it is shown
• on the mask layer we have a square that changes its shape using Tween Shape (see the first chapter) so we can see only the part of the text included in the square

• the text will now have its own color
• you can combine this technique with the effects from the first chapter and now you have the freedom of deciding what part of the text to display
