Chapter 2 Using Masks

(6) Simple Fade with Masking
- same effect as in the first chapter but this time we will use a mask technique
- advantage: we can use this effect over any background
- write a text in the Main Stage, right click on the layer and select Mask
- create a new layer under the mask (masked layer) and draw a square over the text
- now the color of the text in the animation will be the color of the square even if the text has a different color (color does not matter inside the mask layer)
- now you can fade in and out the square as it's been shown in the previous chapter, and you will get the same effect
- we added the moving lines just to show that it doesn't matter what background we have, the effect takes place only on the text
